Volunteering
None of our community events or fundraisers are possible without help from parent volunteers. There are a lot of different ways to get involved including many brief, low-commitment opportunities.
Your kids will be proud to see you helping out. You’d be surprised how much it means to them. Bonus, you’ll get to know other parents, teachers, and other school staff in a way that you just can’t get at pick up and drop off.
Volunteer Forms
We appreciate all of the extra helping hands in our school and we are hoping that you won't mind taking these few extra steps if you would like to volunteer at Topham this year.
Volunteer Form:
All volunteers must also fill out this volunteer form and please return to the school office.
Police Information Checks:
The Langley School District requires volunteers to compete a Police Information Check, formally known as a Criminal Record Check.
Simply go to the nearest RCMP Detachment with this letter stating that you are volunteering in the Langley School District for the current school year. They will process your application at that time. Please ensure that the results are brought back to the school.
Volunteer Drivers:
If you are driving students for a school event (field trip, sports activity, etc), you will also need to fill out this volunteer driver form and attach required documents as per the driver form (see below).
Please provide the school the following documents along with your driver form:
1. valid driver’s license
2. current Autoplan Insurance Policy (1st 2 pages) **policy must include a minimum of $2 million liability insurance**
3. driver’s abstract (choose school volunteering) to be done online at https://www.icbc.com/driver-licensing/getting-licensed/Pages/Your-driving-record.aspx\
